What is a Bear Canister Capacity Planner?

A Bear Canister Capacity Planner is an equipment-planning tool that rounds all entered food, scented-item, and trash volume into whole containers using actual usable volume and a measured repack factor. It makes dimensions, ratings, exclusions, approval notes, role constraints, and rounding visible so the group can audit the plan before a physical setup.

Shelter and storage questions combine different kinds of evidence. Measured packed dimensions are not the same as nominal product dimensions; a standardized pad test is not a field temperature guarantee; certification is not the same as local authorization; and an algorithmic load assignment is not participant consent or capability.

It does not prove approval, certification, odor containment, placement, locking, or compliance. How the calculation works

The model validates nonnegative finite measurements, applies only entered clearance, waste, compression, target, or load constraints, and preserves impossible or incompatible cases. It never inserts a universal campsite, cord, R-value, canister, or carrying rule.
