This ski pole length calculator applies LEKI’s published height-based reference and compares it with nearby sizes in the Neolite product range. The result separates the arithmetic reference from actual manufactured lengths. Worked examples
A reference between two sizes
At 175 cm tall, the arithmetic reference is 122.5 cm. The published Neolite sizes immediately around it are 120 and 125 cm, so both appear in the comparison. The calculator does not declare one correct or invent a 122.5 cm Neolite product. Use the nearby sizes as options to discuss or try, keeping the exact model and practical fit check separate from the height formula.
A reference below the product run
At 150 cm tall, the same formula gives 105 cm. That is below the Neolite range implemented here, so no bracketed product sizes are offered. The calculator does not silently round the answer to 110 cm. This outcome identifies a product-data limitation rather than declaring that the person cannot use ski poles. A fitter can help identify a different product and appropriate sizing guidance.
An inch-based measurement
At 70 inches tall, the measured height is 177.8 cm and the reference is 124.46 cm, or 49 inches. In US display the candidate product lengths are shown in inches as well, while their source remains the published centimeter size run. Switching units does not change the person or the physical lengths. Recalculate after the switch and compare the catalog label carefully before purchasing.

The calculator does not turn a fractional result into a custom product specification or guarantee that either neighboring size fits.
Why are two pole sizes sometimes shown?
The reference can fall between two published Neolite lengths. The calculator retains both neighbors so the product comparison is transparent rather than applying an unsupported rounding preference. This is not a claim that both sizes are equally suitable. A practical fitting with the actual poles is needed to choose between candidates or consider another product.
Why might no Neolite candidates appear?
The reference may fall below or above the published 110–135 cm run used here. The tool deliberately avoids clamping to an endpoint, because nearest available does not necessarily mean appropriate. Does this cover touring or cross-country poles?
No. This version uses the named alpine reference and Neolite product size run. It does not invent a touring adjustment range or apply Nordic ratios. Can this calculator size poles for children?
