What does this snowboard size calculator show?
This snowboard size calculator lists RIDE Agenda 2027 sizes whose published rider-weight bands contain your measurement. It also offers a separately labeled general wide-board guide when you supply a supported US adult boot size. It does not calculate a universal snowboard length, measure boot overhang or certify that a particular board fits your boots.
The board model matters. A length that appears in one product’s weight chart does not automatically transfer to another product with different geometry or construction. This version intentionally uses one named model and year, with all seven published sizes visible in the comparison. It returns actual size labels, including wide variants, rather than creating a length between manufactured sizes.
Several sizes can match the same weight. That overlap is part of the manufacturer’s table, not a calculation error. The output preserves all matching rows so you can compare them with a fitter. It does not rank those rows as best, second best or safest. The final choice depends on the equipment and rider considerations that a weight-only lookup cannot resolve.
Board waist width is included as a published product dimension. It is not the width directly beneath every possible binding position, and a nominal boot size does not supply the external boot footprint. Consequently the calculator never labels a board as fitting, marginal or too narrow. Its width message comes from Burton’s general guidance and is explicitly separate from the RIDE weight table.
Metric rider weight is the internal basis. RIDE prints rounded kilogram and pound bands, which are not exact equivalents at every endpoint. This implementation uses the kilogram column consistently and converts US input into it. Above 100 kg, two published rows use an open-ended notation; the calculator asks for product advice instead of inventing an upper limit. Junior sizing and other snowboard models need their own charts.
This sizing reference is a starting point. Exact product guidance, boot compatibility, personal preference and a shop fitting or demo take precedence.
Method and calculation
The model tests your kilogram weight against each row’s inclusive lower and upper bounds. Every matching row is retained with its printed size and waist dimension. There is no averaging, interpolation or style multiplier. The weight table is appropriate to the named Agenda model; an unsupported result tells you that this specific lookup cannot answer the question.
For optional width guidance, select either US men’s or US women’s adult boot sizing. The two published conventions are evaluated separately. The tool does not convert women’s sizes into men’s or infer an EU, UK or Mondopoint equivalent. A size band not explicitly described in the selected guide receives an unknown-guidance message, leaving the underlying weight matches unchanged.
The chart and table compare the same matched rows. In US display, board length and waist width are shown in inches while the manufacturer’s size label remains an identifier, such as 154W. That label is not an inches measurement. Changing a unit or boot entry clears the previous result so a shared export cannot silently describe an earlier selection.
Formula or lookup rule
Match a row when published minimum kg ≤ rider kg ≤ published maximum kg; retain every matching size.

Worked examples
A 60 kg rider
At 60 kg, the matching size labels are 149, 152, 155, 158 and 154W. The two larger wide rows begin above that weight and are not returned. This result is a shortlist from one published table, not five equivalent fit approvals. A rider can use the individual rows to ask a shop about the exact board construction and available sizes while keeping the original weight assumption visible.
An exact table boundary
At 75 kg, the 149 row still matches because its printed upper endpoint is inclusive. At 75.1 kg, it no longer matches that row, although other rows may remain. The calculator does not smooth this boundary or promise a physical change at a tenth of a kilogram. The change simply reflects how the selected source table is represented; fitting still needs more information than the row test.
An open-ended source cell
At 100 kg, the 157W and 161W rows remain in the supported comparison. Above 100 kg the source’s plus notation does not define a final endpoint. This implementation therefore returns an unsupported message rather than stretching an assumed range. Ask RIDE or a fitter what the open-ended recommendation means for the particular rider and equipment. The same rule applies after conversion from pounds; it is not a separate US threshold.
Practical applications
- Compare actual manufactured sizes: See discrete model labels instead of a generic ideal length. This helps you ask about sizes that exist in the selected chart, while avoiding the impression that an interpolated length is available to buy.
- Keep product years separate: Save the model year with the result when comparing listings. A seller may use a familiar product name for an earlier board, so verify its chart rather than assuming the current data describe it.
- Review weight-band overlap: Use the table to understand why multiple lengths appear. Overlap can make a one-number recommendation misleading; retaining the rows helps a fitter explain the tradeoffs for the actual rider and board.
- Prepare a boot-width discussion: Supply the explicit boot-size convention to receive the limited general width message. Then bring the real boots for comparison, because shoe labels alone cannot show footprint, binding position or usable clearance.
- Avoid unit-boundary confusion: Convert measured pounds to the canonical kilogram chart automatically. The export identifies that basis so a difference from the manufacturer’s rounded pounds column can be traced rather than mistaken for an unexplained error.
- Identify missing evidence: An unsupported model, size convention or open-ended weight case tells you when to obtain another source. It is a useful stopping point for this calculation, not a statement that no snowboard could suit the rider.
Tips for useful results
Check the product name and year before entering measurements. Replace the default rider weight, and choose “Not supplied” if the boot-size convention is uncertain. Do not enter an EU size into a US field simply because both are numbers. The calculator cannot identify that kind of labeling mistake from the value alone.
Treat the wide-board message as a conversation starter. Actual boot footprint and board geometry are needed for a fit check. A wide size matching the rider’s weight does not establish that wide is necessary, and a regular size matching does not establish that it is wide enough. Preserve the source edition and chart basis when exporting, and recheck manufacturer information before purchasing another model.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the calculator show several snowboard sizes?
RIDE’s published rider-weight bands overlap. The calculator preserves every matching Agenda row rather than pretending the table identifies one ideal size. That makes the output auditable and lets you discuss actual options with a fitter. It does not mean all matches will feel the same or that every listed size is appropriate after a complete fitting.
Can I use the result for another snowboard?
The numeric lookup is specific to the RIDE Agenda 2027 chart. Another model or year can use different size ranges and geometry. Use its own manufacturer information instead of transferring this result. The calculator’s general approach is reusable, but the product data are not a universal formula that applies to every snowboard with the same nominal length.
Does the W label guarantee enough boot clearance?
No. W identifies a wide variant in the manufacturer’s size list; it is not a clearance certification. The calculator does not measure the boot footprint or board width at the bindings. Compare the actual equipment with a fitter, including stance and binding position, before deciding whether a particular regular or wide board is suitable.
Why might a pounds endpoint differ from the printed chart?
The source prints rounded kilogram and pound ranges. This tool consistently uses the kilogram column and converts pounds with an exact conversion factor. Near a boundary, that can differ from separately reading a rounded pounds endpoint. The source basis is shown so the difference is visible; the calculator does not silently switch tables when units change.
Can I enter an EU or Mondopoint boot size?
This version does not implement a manufacturer-specific conversion for those conventions. Leave optional width guidance unavailable and ask a fitter about the actual boot. An EU label, foot length and external sole dimension are different information. Converting them with an invented universal table would give the width message more apparent precision than its source supports.
What happens above 100 kg?
Two Agenda rows have a published plus sign at the upper end rather than a closed maximum. This tool stops at 100 kg and asks for product-specific advice above that point. It does not conclude that the board cannot be used; it declines to invent a finite upper limit or an unlimited eligibility claim from incomplete bounds.
